Bibi Hakimeh oil field is one of the biggest oil fields in Iran that's explored by 2D seismic survey acquisition. Numerous wells have been drilled which nearly all of them are productive at the moment. Passing two decades of reservoir's age, the needs to investigation of enhanced oil recovery of the reservoir are propounded. [This operation should be done before forsaking of productive wells and so, spending much expense]. Subsurface structure of reservoir should be specified by high-quality 3D seismic survey. So, 3D seismic survey designation began, at first. After gathering all the necessary data, we designed 3D seismic acquisition with following parameters. Bin size was determined 20m*20m according to target size, maximum unaliased frequency and horizontal resolution. Then, with use of accessible 2D data and values of Xmin and Zsh, fold=48, SI=RI=40m, SLI=RLI=400m were calculated (SI: source interval, RI: receiver interval, SLI: source line interval, RLI: receiver line interval, Xmin : minimum offset, Zsh: shallowest target depth). With these data, active channels was decided to be 1920m that with considering Xmin, patch was designed as 12 cross-lines and 160 channels in each line. Finally, two different methods of recording with cross-line roll=1 and cross-line roll=6 were investigated that will be described in this paper. In this field, seismic acquisition with crossline roll=1 was chosen as the optimum option due to offset and azimuth diagrams, cross-line sections and in-line sections.
