Abstract: Biomass as Energy Source

A program in the Fuels from Biomass Systems Branch, Department of Energy, has the objective of developing the capability to convert renewable biomass resources into clean fuels, petrochemical substitutes, and other fuel-intensive products in order to supplement those made from fossil fuels, and to estimate the potential and costs of producing fuel from a biomass.
