Bright Angel Creek is the straight valley in the center of the picture on the far side of the canyon. On the near side opposite Bright Angel are the hotels, restaurants and other tourist facilities. The Little Colorado River Canyon comes into the picture flowing north in the desert along the right edge and joins the Colorado after a sharp bend to the west (left).
