Abstract

Maximizing asset value is achieved through a de-risking process, where subsurface knowledge integration and technology application become essential. Some examples will be shared to demonstrate how the subsurface technical de-risking is an exponential decay with a rate equal to the product of subsurface knowledge integration and technology application to unlock emerging reservoirs potential and enhance producing reservoirs performance. The success of such integrating process has changed the way the industry approaches the exploration, and development of hydrocarbon fields.
