Contribution of 3D Previous HitseismicNext Hit delineation of the transition zone Ketatna-lower Salammbô in the Ashtatr oil field (Gulf of Gabes- South East Tunisia)

Abstract

The aim of this work is to highlight the existing structures in the fields Ashtart (Gulf of Gabes in South East Tunisia) and particularly those in the eastern part of the age Oligo - Miocene through analysis and interpretation of Previous HitseismicNext Hit data. Indeed, by basin on biostratigraphic and geophysical data, the contribution of Previous HitseismicNext Hit Previous HitattributesNext Hit in the delimitation of the distribution of deposits during this period has been demonstrated.

Along Previous HitseismicNext Hit sections, two horizons were clearly identified (based on the calibration on the oil wells) and successively representing the top Ketetna (H25) and the base lower Salammbô (H50). The isochronous maps of these two as well as Previous HitseismicNext Hit Previous HitattributesTop (amplitude, frequency and apparent polarities) revealed the existence of three structures may constitute prospects and leads to various oil importances. A first area recognized as the platform to the west and attributed to the formation Ketatna (limestone), a second much deeper area to the east is attributed to the lower Salammbô formation and a third NNW -SSE zone interpreted as the transition between the two previous areas.
