Abstract

An offshore air gun Previous HitseismicNext Hit survey was performed in the Red Sea during 2011. Saudi Aramco and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) ran an experiment to simultaneously deploy portable broadband Previous HitseismicNext Hit instruments onshore and record data for deep crustal studies. The project was divided into two phases: the first Previous HitphaseNext Hit consisted of deploying 20 portable seismometers in the southern coastal region and in the second Previous HitphaseTop 30 seismometers were deployed in the northern coastal region of the Red Sea.
