ABSTRACT: Visualization Based volume Previous HitInterpretationNext Hit Reveals More Geological Information

Volume Previous HitinterpretationNext Hit (VI) is different from conventional Previous HitinterpretationNext Hit. It works on Previous HitseismicNext Hit volumes within an integrated environment instead of on vertical Previous HitseismicNext Hit sections and time slices. Volume Previous HitinterpretationNext Hit requires interpreters to change the way they work, moving away from working with 2D views to interpreting all the data in 3D.
Two basic types of visualization, surface and volume visualization will be presented in the Poster. Interpreters are familiar with surface visualization, which results from mapping individual horizons and faults, and then reinterpreting them in a 3D space as a 3D model.
To illustrate the benefits of volume Previous HitinterpretationNext Hit, workflows will be presented, including volume reconnaissance (channel, fan, delta), framework Previous HitinterpretationNext Hit (subtle faults, complex fault system) and Previous HitseismicNext Hit attribute analysis. New Previous HitseismicNext Hit attributes are used in the examples, including, Spectral Decomposition, Dissimilarity prediction, and Previous HitseismicTop attribute analysis.
