ABSTRACT: Fracture Patterns in the Guaduas Formation and its Previous HitRelationshipNext Hit with the Coal-Previous HitBedNext Hit Methane, Colombia

The study area is located in the Sabana de Bogotá among the populations of Zipaquirá to the South and Guachetá to the North, in the Cundinamarca Department. The objective was to establish the fracture patterns, deformation mechanisms and the three-dimensional structural model in the Checua Sinclinal and their associated anticlines; determining in addition their Previous HitrelationshipNext Hit with the migration and accumulation of methane in the Sabana de Bogotá.

To establish this Previous HitrelationshipTop it was carried out a systematic measurement of fractures in outcrops and then analyzed with the Software Georient 7X. The result was integrated with the identification and analysis of regional fracture patterns interpreted from satellite and radar images and conventional air photographs. It was integrated the structural information from seven balanced and restored sections using the Software Geosec 2D and 3D as well as the information and analysis of the data of fractures acquired in surface and underground, the sections were carried out, for finally to define the three-dimensional structural pattern of the main structures.
