Black
Sea Shelf
The Lebada oil
field is placed in the
Histria sedimentary basin, which belongs to Romanian shelf of the
Black
Sea. There is at present, a lot of opinions, often opposite, concerning
the opening and evolution of Histria sedimentary basin, so that I’ll try
first to clear up the problems concerning tectonic type of Histria basin,
and also structural and genetic model which drive the basin evolution.
Afterwards, to verify the reliability of paleohydrogeologic
model, is necessary to establish the stratigraphy and tectonics of Lebada
oil
field, related to the evolution of Histria sedimentary basin.
After establishing of the geological setting is necessary to define the Histria petroleum system components, that means the petroleum generation-expelling subsystem, and the petroleum migration-entrapment subsystem.
At last, the study will try to establish the correlation between the time of petroleum generation and expelling, and the time of primary migration, both of them comprise into a mathematical paleohydrogeologic model. A main component of the model will approach the fluids secondary migration through carrier beds towards the possible petroleum entrapment areas.
