Abstract: Automation of Storage, Retrieval and Drafting of Previous HitPetroleumNext Hit Systems Data, With Examples from the Subandean Basins of South America

David G. Smith, Jonathan Green, Kenneth Chew

As part of a global database of Previous HitpetroleumNext Hit geological information, Petroconsultants has developed a database module for the storage and retrieval of data relevant to Previous HitpetroleumNext Hit systems analysis. For each Previous HitpetroleumNext Hit Previous HitsystemNext Hit the information can include the following: Previous HitsystemNext Hit name; level of certainty; geological province; source, reservoir, seal and overburden depositional age; active duration of the Previous HitsystemNext Hit; peak period of generation of oil and of gas; together with a textual description and comments. The Previous HitpetroleumNext Hit Previous HitsystemNext Hit data is linked in the database to hydrocarbon plays and thus to individual fields and discoveries that have been charged by the Previous HitsystemNext Hit. From this information, it is possible to generate maps of the extent of the Previous HitsystemNext Hit, and standardised Previous HitpetroleumNext Hit Previous HitsystemNext Hit events c arts showing the stratigraphic location of the main components of the Previous HitsystemNext Hit. The application of this approach to the comparison of Previous HitpetroleumTop systems at a regional scale will be illustrated with examples from the Subandean basins of South America.
