of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

This talk will contain a discussion of the historical and future roles of
geologists
in the energy industry. The results of the summer 1987 GSA Penrose
Conference on jobs and directions will be presented. Current and future
potential usage of hydrocarbon energy forms will be offered for thought along
with some prognostication about future energy prices.
