Abstract: Stratigraphy and Sedimentology of Tertiary Strata in Cold Bay Area of Alaska Peninsula
The distribution, thickness, age, and depositional environments of sedimentary rocks in the outermost part of the Alaska Peninsula have been mapped for the first time. New fossil localities have been found. Rocks previously mapped as the Bear Lake Formation of Miocene age between Cold Bay and Pavlof Bay have been found to be either older or younger than Miocene.
