Abstract: Previous HitSeismicNext Hit Calibration Techniques for Improved Subsurface Definition

J. P. Lindsey, E. V. Dedman

The development of Previous HitseismicNext Hit-related technologies within the past 4 years has significantly advanced the capabilities of the Previous HitseismicNext Hit tool in both exploration and exploitation problems. These technologies include: (1) wavelet processing, (2) two- and three-dimensional Previous HitforwardNext Hit Previous HitmodelingNext Hit, (3) inverse Previous HitmodelingNext Hit, and (4) Previous HitseismicNext Hit-derived acoustic log sections. These geoseismic methods are the bases for stratigraphic and lithologic determinations at the prospect level prior to drilling and, when combined with well-log and engineering Previous HitdataTop, extend to field definition and quantification for exploitation purposes.
