Meyal field (Latitude 33^o 8′ 33.22″, Longitude 72^o 2′ 72.35″) is one of the main oil field of western Potwarin district Attock near PindiGhaib 110 km SW from Capital of Pakistan (Islamabad). It is in Attock district and field is under the supervision of Pakistan oil Field (POL). The petroleum system having reservoir rock ChorgaliFormation and Sakesar Limestone (fractured carbonates). Production is also obtained from Siliciclastic Jurassic Datta Formation. This work is basically based on the seismic interpretation of Meyal field and determination of subsurface structure of the area by Petrel, Schlumberger (2012). It also helped me to build fault modeling of Meyal structure which is East-West trending anticline and marking a popup structure by two main fault and minor fault in the pop-up. Well log correlation is established on Petrel and well as on Geographix.

The initial exploration was based on the geological mapping in that time period conducted by Attock Oil Company (AOC) which drilled six wells which goes abundant but after the data acquisition and seismic survey in1960's, it helps to identify the subsurface structure.

This field was discovered by Pakistan Oil Field in1968 after the 52 years of efforts in exploration. The first well is not reached to Eocene level and terminated in molasses sequence. This field contains 16 wells and producing both oil and gas from fractured reservoir of Eocene and shallow-marine shelf carbonates deposit of the Lockhart-Ranikot, Chorgali and Sakesar formations (fractured carbonates). Production is also obtained from the siliciclastic Jurassic Datta formation. After the discovery of this field world's major oil and gas exploration companies are keenly active to start exploration in that area and get maximum production from that area.
