Characteristics and Influence Factors of Geotemperature Field in Dongying Sag Jiyang Depression, North China

Abstract

Geothermal resource can be exploited combined with hydrocarbon resource in oil and gas bearing areas. The response of geotemperture and pressure field to this process is the key issue. Based on 523 geotemperature data from 211 wells, the distribution and influence factors of geotemperature field are obtained in Dongying Sag, Jiyang Depression. Dongying Sag can be called a “hot Basin” with high geothermal gradient, about 3.86 °C/100m. The distribution of geothermal gradient is higher in uplift or slope zone and lower in subsags. This is mainly governed by the tectonic framework of alternating uplifts and subsags with. Bounded by the Central Uplift Belt, the geothermal gradient of north area is lower than south area apparently. That shows the nonnegligible effect of volcanic rock with high heat conductivity.
