This presentation provides a brief review of current unconventional plays, with a discussion of the characteristics, opportunities and challenges in each play. The presentation will then discuss new trends in technology that are focused on reservoir optimization and improving recovery. The presentation includes a review of current approaches, many of which will be discussed in this workshop.
