Visualization and the use of key seismic attributes play key roles in enhancing your understanding of the petroleum reservoir. Co-rendering of multiple attributes enables the interpreter to view the seismic as stratigraphic sequences (more like rocks than wiggles). The goal is to give the interpreter a view of the systems tracts in their current structural setting. Continuing advances in image technology improve this view by adding insights and dimensions. The computer games that our children play bring new hardware and software technologies that significantly improve the speed and enhance our understanding of the depositional systems captured in the seismic data. Combining these technologies with geologic specific processing routines delivers unique images of target areas.

This interactive presentation will showcase via real world 3D datasets many of these new technologies. In particular you will see the contributions made, often in front of the drill bit, to better define potential whilst reducing overall costs through more effective drilling plans. More efficient target identification is achieved through an integrated approach.
