Abstract: Oil and Gas and the Environment

Sir John will discuss some of the ways in which technology can help to meet the environmental challenges posed by the prospect of increasing use of oil and gas in the first half of the next century. He will concentrate on the respective roles of industry and government in creating appropriate incentives and choices for consumers.
