Summary

The ability to effectively communicate petroleum geology to the public, the courts and governmental agencies is an essential part of the task of the petroleum geologist. This presentation demonstrates the latest and most effective techniques for communicating the work of petroleum geologists in the legal context. The scope of this presentation focuses on problems related to the subsurface interpretation of geologic structures and stratigraphy, the subsurface flow of hydrocarbons, and the mechanical workings of an oil & gas drilling rig.
