Summary

Recent geological and geophysical assessment in southern Tunisia has led to the difinition of excellent attributes of the Ordovician play, including well sealed fractured clastic reservoirs, good and mature Ordovician and Silurian source rocks and large size tilted fault block traps. These factors provide a highly potential play for oil and gas discoveries in southern Tunisia, particularly in the under-explored Chotts Basin.
