Abstract: Hydroxy Gas-A clean future for fossil fuels

ELLIOTT, CATHERINE and MUSTAFA MOTLAGH

growing community concern over the potential hazards of Greenhouse Gas emissions is resulting in increasingly tighter governmental controls on the combustion of fossil fuels. The emission of CO2, uncombusted hydrocarbons and other gases not only contributes to global warming, but more importantly, to the destruction of ozone in the stratosphere. A new technology is now available for cost-effective combustion of fossil fuels with enhanced thermal efficiency that generates practically no toxic emissions.

The Hydroxy Gas Generator produces, through electrolysis of water, H2 and 02 gases in the exact stoichiometric ratio of water. These recombine in an implosive reaction rather than the characteristic explosion. The implosive nature of the reaction uniquely controls the heat production by the Hydroxy Gas which can, depending on the thermal conductivity of the gas mixture, reach as high as several thousand degrees in seconds. The hydroxy gas is produced at costs well below that of other fuels such as Natural Gas, LPG, 02 and H2.

It has been demonstrated that the addition of only 20% Hydroxy Gas to Natural Gas results in the complete destruction of all obnoxious substances in the emissions.

The integration of Hydroxy Gas into the global network of industries utilizing fossil fuels would ensure environmentally sound combustion systems with, or without, production of excess heat.
