Abstract: Subsurface Middle Wilcox Correlation of Central Louisiana

Lloyd N. Glawe, John B. Echols

Correlation of Middle Wilcox stratigraphic units is shown by a set of two east-west electric-log cross sections that extend across central Louisiana. Cross sections have a vertical scale of one inch = 100 feet, show correlation of subsurface Wilcox units proposed by Shreveport Geological Society, and use the Tew Lake Marker as stratigraphic datum. One cross section exhibits sonic logs for 22 wells; the other cross section contains electric logs of various types for 71 wells.
