Geneview (Tannehill) Field, Stonewall County, Texas

The Geneview (Tannehill) field is located in northeastern Stonewall County, Texas, approximately ten miles north of Aspermont, Texas. The field is on a productive channel trend that extends east-west across Stonewall County and contains several producing Tannehill sand fields. The field has 14 producing wells covering approximately 600 ac. The field has produced approximately 400,000 bbl of oil since its discovery in February 1983.

The discovery well potential was 105 BOPD, pumping from 18 ft of pay. Gas/oil ratio was 67:1, and API gravity 35.5° from perforations at 2,903-2,916 ft. Average porosity of the Tannehill sand is 21%, water saturation is approximately 40%, and resistivity is 3 ohms.
