Abstract

Kharir Basement trap is a faulted horst top sealed and sourced by the shaly Jurassic Madbi Formation. The lithology of the host rock consists of Pre-Cambrian and Cambrian plutonic and metamorphic rocks.

Locating and characterizing the flowing features is an important challenge, which requires an adjustment of tools and interpretation methods, as conventional ones are often not adapted to such reservoirs.
