The Cretaceous aged Eagle Ford Shale of Central Texas is thought to have been deposited during a period of high sea levels. Outcrop studies have been used to as evidence for the interpretation of successive transgressive, condensed and high-stand periods within the Eagle Ford interval. This study utilizes almost 1000 digitized Previous HitwellNext Hit-logs that penetrated the Eagle Ford Shale to create a series of high-density cross-sections that were used to generate an allostratigraphic interpretation. This detailed interpretation generated a framework of surfaces that could be classified as low-order Previous HitsequenceNext Hit boundaries and intervening parasequence boundaries based upon the application of Previous HitwellNext Hit-Previous HitlogNext Hit facies Previous HitanalysisTop.
