Atmospheric polluition in mining areas are analysed. Environment have been selected for study: an open cast coal mines and a quarry site to obtain a preliminary evalution of the air quality in these environment a sampling were developed for the study area.(a)concentration of SPM (b) chemical (c) mineralogical & (d) physical characterization of particulate matter. The concentration of total suspended particulate (TSP) were obtained by the use of high volume sampler method. Physical characteristics involved particle size distribution of the SPM where as chemical characterization involved determination of its composition.
