A variety of 3D Previous HitseismicNext Hit visualization techniques were employed to quickly and accurately depict and analyze basin fill history of the Previous HitoffshoreNext Hit area north of Madura Island, Previous HitIndonesiaNext Hit, using Previous HitseismicNext Hit geomorphology and Previous HitseismicNext Hit stratigraphy. Techniques utilized included amplitude mapping Previous HitfromNext Hit time slices and horizon slices, coherence, opacity rendering, Previous HitinversionNext Hit, surface illumination, and attribute co-rendering using a migrated stacked 3D Previous HitseismicNext Hit volume.

The workflow involved an initial reconnaissance of the Previous HitdataNext Hit using time slices which enhanced the understanding of the carbonate deposition of the Kujung 1 and 2, and Wonocolo. Features identified include small patch reef buildups within the Kujung 2, a large platform margin cut by deep channels as well as isolated large patch-reef buildups within the Kujung 1, and asymmetric current-influenced buildups within the Wonocolo. Time and horizon slices through the coherence volume were especially useful for reconnaissance imaging of the Wonocolo Formation. Subsequent to reconnaissance mapping, the a deeper Kujung 3 target was not as readily identifiable partly due to velocity pull-ups associated with the Wonocolo and the Kujung 1 carbonates which masked the identification of Kujung 3 buildups on the platform. The use of multiple 3D volumes and visualization techniques improved the interpretation and understanding of the depositional environments through the Oligocene to Miocene carbonate deposition.
