This paper presents the modeling of hydrocarbons generation and migration processes within Carboniferous strata in Lublin graben with new tectonic conception. There are an opportunities for oil and gas reserves and Previous HitcomputerTop modeling with BasinMod 1-D will allow to show them. This area is one of the coals deposits in Poland. There are few discovered gas and oil fields with chance for more. New technologies and new attitude are expected to help understand proceed hydrocarbons processes and prospect their potential.

In this approach main source of data will be from geochemiacal measurement such as Rock Eval pyrolysis - quick, relatively cost-effective analysis performed primarily to determine the generation potential of source rocks. Moreover it is used to estimate quantity and genetic types of organic matter, and to determine ranges for maturity. Results of biomarkers analysis will be used to determine type of kerogen and depositional environment. Vitrinite reflectance will be helpful in reconstructing thermal evolution sedimentary basin and allows to calibrate the conceptual model.

All this geochemical data with stratigraphy and lithology data will be the key to create the model of generation and migration processes in Carboniferous strata in Lublin graben. Burial history with kinetic of generation, maturity of kerogen, transformation ratio and total amount of generated hydrocarbons in separate strata will be the solution of main thesis.
