ABSTRACT: 3D Petroleum Systems Modeling Previous HitOffshoreNext Hit Brazil – Previous HitFromNext Hit Regional to Prospect Scale Hydrocarbon Generation and Migration

Evaluation of the hydrocarbon potential in Deep-water Campos and Espirito Santo Basins, Previous HitoffshoreNext Hit southeast Brazil, was significantly improved with an integrated Previous Hit3-DNext Hit basin analysis. The analysis provided regional maturity trends, primary migration focus areas and highlighted both regional and sub-regional (lease block) areas of interest. Regional interpretation of well Previous HitdataNext Hit and depositional patterns along with 2-D/3-D Previous HitseismicNext Hit mapping of key chronostratigraphic horizons provided the Previous HitstructuralNext Hit framework necessary to build a Previous Hit3-DNext Hit basin model in Petromod3D. Regional heat flow was calculated based on 2-D gravity and magnetic interpretations as well as temperature measurements at well locations. Vitrinite reflectance (VR) and hydrocarbon composition Previous HitdataNext Hit were used for calibrating the model maturity. Finally, integration of basin restorations, which leveraged the most probable salt kinematic solutions and Previous HitseismicNext Hit stratigraphy, allowed a Previous Hit3-DNext Hit interpretation of maturity and fluid flow at the lease block scale. Rigorous integration of all Previous HitdataNext Hit provided a detailed Previous Hit3-DTop petroleum system model which helped assign risk at both the lead and prospect level.
