The American Association of Professional Landmen and the Independent Petroleum Association of America are proud to present the critically acclaimed NAPE(r) expo to be held January 31 and February 1 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. NAPE(r) was founded in 1993 on the premise of providing a central arena for oil and gas companies to introduce their oil and gas prospects via exhibit booths to energy professionals at all levels of responsibility including geologists, geophysicists, engineers, landmen, chief financial officers, executive vice presidents and chief executive officers. NAPE(r) brings state-of-the-art prospects, advanced technology and energy capital formation all together in one location, creating a pure marketplace to establish strategic alliances for doing business and initiating purchases and trades.

The purpose of this innovative event is to educate attendees on U.S. exploration and development opportunities, ultimately creating jobs for oil and gas professionals and stimulating the economy.
According to 2000 NAPE(r) Surveys: 1,500 deals were shown. Each exhibiting company generated nine appointments to show a deal. Three out of four companies sold a deal with prices ranging from $50,000 to $20 million. Fifty-seven percent of the companies participating indicated that their respective chief executive officer, president or chairman attended the event.
Attendance at NAPE has grown from 781 in its first year (1993) to over 7000 last year (2000) where there were 533 exhibiting companies.
