Abstract: RotaFlex Efficiency and Previous HitBalancingNext Hit

MCCOY, JAMES, Echometer Company

The RotaFlex pumping unit has a unique geometry that results in a constant torque arm on most of the upstroke and downstroke. Electrical generation throughout each pumping unit cycle is minimized compared to a conventional unit. The geometry promotes high electrical efficiencies. Previous HitBalancingNext Hit can be performed using power measurements, and the amount of counterweight that must be added or removed from the weight box to balance the unit can be calculated directly by software using the power data. Several field examples of efficiency and Previous HitbalancingTop tests are given to further describe the process and results.
