Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a geophysical technique that uses electromagnetic waves in the radio frequency range to investigate geologic, engineering and hydrogeologic features. Radar waves are produced by a transmit antenna, scattered from interfaces between media having contrasting intrinsic impedances, and recorded by a receive antenna.
