Abstract: Maps of Geology-Ecologic Estimate of Oil and Gas Resources as a Way of an Estimate of Field Development Ecologic Danger

Oil, gas, and the products of their refuting are the real danger for environmental and its inhabitants. The process of oil pollutions begins with the moment of exploration and continues up to oil and oil product production and use.

Before the development of hydrocarbon it is necessary to know what danger may be as a result of their development and what measure complex must be used so that this danger was minimum.

It is necessary to have a field classification on their danger estimate for environment during field exploitation, to determine the measure complex for the decrease of this danger degree for each classification type, to determine the location of each field type in the limits of the petroleum regions.

With this object the following classification row is offered for practic use:

1. gas, not sulphur-bearing;

2. oil, with light not sulphur-bearing oils;

3. gas, with high contents of hydrogen sulphide;

4. oil, with heavy high-sulphurous and metal-bearing (V, Ni) oils;

5. fields of heavy oils and bitumens (mainly, metal-bearing).

Danger degree increases from 1 to 5.

An analysis of the specific maps of a prior estimate of ecological danger as a result of oil and gas field exploitation for the Timan-Pechora, Volga-Ural, and West Siberia petroleum-bearing provinces has shown that the zones with the fields of 5 category of ecologic danger are present in the Volga-Ural province. In the Timan-Pechora province, the fields of 4 category of ecologic danger have wide occurence. It is interesting that the fields of 4 category of ecologic danger are also present in the West Siberia.
