Abstract: A Systematic Reservoir Study of the Lower Cretaceous in Anan Oilfield, Erlian Basin, North China

Summary

This paper presents the details of an oil reservoir in the Anan Oilfield, located onshore North China, which possesses complex geological properties. These include a complex structural, sedimentary and diagenetic patterns. Porosity mapping is difficult because of the presence of volcaniclastic sediments and complex distribution of various diagenetic facies. In this work, we use an interpolation neural network (INET) to model the porosity distribution which incorporates many geological information, such as the distribution of sedimentary bodies and diagenetic facies. The results showed that INET provided a realistic porosity map with the observable geological trends.
