Abstract

Marine oil source formations have been studied in the Callovian and Upper Jurassic deposits of West Siberia. The chat cs of their depositional environments is given. Organic matter composition (pyrolysis, kerogen, isotopic composition) have been investigated, and distribution of biomarker hydrocarbons in extractable bitumens and oils has been considered in detail. Genetic relations “organic matter - oil” have been revealed.
