Summary
The Eocene Mirador Formation is an important reservoir unit in the Llanos Basin of Colombia. A Northern Llanos composite standard, graphic correlation study of the Mirador in the Cano Caranal Block shows a hiatus within the Mirador spanning approximately 2.16 million years. The unit identified as Mirador in the Centellas-1 well is late Middle Eocene but older than in the remaining wells, possibly because of a wrench fault between them. Composite standard, graphic correlation analysis allows the quantification of missing time and the recognition of stratal architecture.
