Abstract: Modern Methods of Acquiring and Processing Geophysical and Geochemical Previous HitDataNext Hit

John A. McDonald

It is becoming widely recognized that geologic interpretations based on one geophysical parameter (usually COP reflection Previous HitdataNext Hit) can be limited severely in usefulness. A much more complete picture of the subsurface will be generated if as many geophysical and geochemical parameters as possible are measured simultaneously. The interdependent properties of these parameters will ease the final Previous HitinterpretationNext Hit.

Using the most up-to-date digital Previous HitdataNext Hit-acquisition systems, a modern research vessel can record seismic reflection and Previous HitrefractionTop, gravity, magnetic, navigation, and positioning parameters, and dissolved hydrocarbon concentrations and seawater properties.
